Who is Jim Beattie?

I’m a webilosopher who has recently started freelance work as a web content advisor/strategist. I’m also an editor, working mainly with book-length manuscripts and academic journal articles.

Among other things I’ve also worked as a radio broadcaster, arts administrator, media and philosophy lecturer/researcher, and children’s counsellor. I’ve played piano in cocktail bars and pubs, and am still passionate about music — mostly jazz, classical, and experimental/quasi-minimalist styles. I compose,  improvise and write about music.
